How to Improvise on a SOLO BREAK

16th notes are great to build intensity, esp. going from the 1st to 2nd chorus of a solo as the drummer might switch from brushes to sticks. But your 16th notes have to be precise during a break so the band knows exactly where the time is and can come back in.
*Note on Phrasing (esp. for those who saw the last video): notice how we continue our line THROUGH the start of the chorus and we end the phrase several bars into the new chorus on a tension chord: Gmi7, the iimi7 in a 2-5.
