Check out how we rhythmically taper from 16th notes, to eighth note triplets, to 1/8ths & quarters WITHIN a single line.
The challenge is making the transition from 16ths to triplets flow naturally and not feel forced. Finally, we descend to quarters & 1/8ths. Not only does this approach give us rhythmic variety, but this rhythmic taper also solves a common issue: how to end a 16th note phrase without it feeling abrupt—creating a "soft landing" instead.
