Piano Instruction

Classical Piano Instruction

Bijan offers his students classical piano training by developing their piano technique and teaching them the secrets of piano tone. He also inspires them to build their repertoire with masterpieces by demonstrating how to approach a musical score through memorization and exposing them to the various classical eras. Bijan will demonstrate to his students how to incorporate nuance and expressive elements on the piano to develop unique interpretations of the renowned concertos, sonatas, preludes, etudes, and other classical works of the legendary classical composers. He helps his students build an understanding of music theory, derived from his versatility on multiple instruments in multiple genres. Bijan will instill how to practice the piano properly to get the most of every session.

Jazz Piano Instruction

Bijan offers his students jazz piano training by helping his students to express their creativity and imagination through jazz, blues, and rock improvisation. He helps his students build a solid foundation of music theory, derived from his versatility on multiple instruments in multiple genres. Bijan aids in expanding their harmonic language: teaching the basics from triads and 7ths, to expanded chords, altered harmony, and jazzy voicings to allow his students to create awesome solos and bass lines! His students will learn to utilize the stylistic elements jazz piano in the great jazz standards of Miles Davis, Bill Evans, Art Tatum, and other jazz legends. Bijan, equipped with perfect pitch, will also assist his students in developing their ear training and transcribing.
