It's difficult to crack a smile out of bassist, Rodney Whitaker. But he loves to whip out the wink over his favorite tune, “Darn That Dream”. He says “I only wink if it’s really swingin’.”
The Swink happens the same place in both instances, the last half of the 1st A section to "Darn That Dream”. The first instance of Rod whipping out his signature "Swing Wink” (aka swink) is from Bijan Taghavi Trio w/ Kofi Shepsu (drums) at the Book Nook & Java Shop.
