Often times, the Head Out is the most uninspiring part of a track. But how can we make it feel fresh and exciting? Do something NEW!
I used this Funky Bassline to make the Head Out different and to give the melody a different undercurrent. What is this Funky Bassline? 1) You can use it in a 10th shape (1-5-9-10), or in a 7th shape (1-5-6-7). 2) But rhythmically it's always 1&2&. I call this Funky Bassline the "Lead-In" because sometimes it could lead into a chord hit on the &2 where the RH and LH meet. |
