Inserting accents can add so much character to a line. In Swing, generally the upbeats are more emphasized than the downbeats. But that doesn't mean you have to accent every single upbeat. Part of the power of accents is the element of SURPRISE. You can have fun with it and be selective with which notes you choose to accent. Check out this example over "Ask Me Now".
